River Zip

Climb through a cargo net, zip through the treetops, cross a rickety bridge, and take a 1,000-foot flight over the scenic Saluda River.

Minimum group size of 4 required, maximum of 8. Email jyoung@riverbanks.org with your preferred tour date at least two weeks in advance to check availability.

  • Zipline tours are scheduled weekly. Dates and times may vary. Check for availability. Tours take from 2 to 3 hours depending on tour, group size and needs of the group. Approximately 30 minutes of the experience involves instruction and suiting up. Guests should plan to arrive a minimum of 30 minutes prior to the scheduled tour.

    Don’t see the tour date you want? Email us at least two weeks in advance. Please include preferred tour date and tour type, along with the number of general public or member tickets. Additional tours may be accepted and scheduled, depending on staff availability.

  • Min. 70 lbs. and max. 250 lbs. Zip line participants will be outfitted in a full body harness with shoulder straps, waist belt, and leg loops. Please wear comfortable pants or shorts; short shorts are not recommended. Closed-toed shoes are a safety requirement to participate on the zipline. We recommend closed-toed shoes like sneakers or hiking boots (no flip-flops, sandals, crocs, or vibram fivefinger shoes). Long hair should be tied back and glasses should have a strap to keep them secured. Note: Guests must sign a waiver in order to participate.
  • Tours take place rain or shine. If there is a chance of rain, Riverbanks will still operate tours. Tours may be cancelled by Riverbanks in the event of thunder, lightning, torrential rain, or severe wind. If Riverbanks must cancel a tour, you will have the opportunity to reschedule your tour.
