Zoo Camp

Zoo Camp offers unique and engaging experiences to connect kids with wildlife. Campers explore little-known areas of Riverbanks, meet animals face to face, and leave inspired to care for the natural world. Each camp includes hands-on activities and experiences connected to the day or weeks theme.

School & Group Programs

Riverbanks Zoo and Garden is dedicated to inspiring people of all ages to conserve wildlife and wild places. Programs are available for groups both on our campus and in your community.

Riverbanks Nature Preschool

Riverbanks’ nature-based, developmentally appropriate preschool provides a unique learning experience for 3- to 5-year-olds. The emergent curriculum focuses on exploration and discovery in nature each day, promotes learning, and prepares children for kindergarten as they develop an appreciation for the natural world.

Parents, Kids, & Families

Get your kids and entire family hooked on nature and discover a love for learning at one of our many family and early childhood programs at Riverbanks.

Youth Programs

Riverbanks’ youth development programs are not only fun and a great way to meet new friends, but they also provide opportunities to develop job-readiness and life skills while serving as an ambassador for Riverbanks Zoo and Garden.

Homeschool Programs

Explore nature through hands-on learning during Riverbanks’ Homeschool programs throughout the school year. Whether you’re an animal enthusiast, budding gardener, or knee-high naturalist, homeschooled children ages 3–12 will enjoy a variety of exciting experiences to pique every interest.

Adult Programs

We didn’t forget about the grown-ups at Riverbanks! Get to know the Botanical Garden, learn new gardening techniques, or invite us to visit your community with one of our Adult Programs.
