November 12 Hoppy Hour Postponed due to Severe Weather

Hop Over to Riverbanks November 19 Plus Enjoy a Preview of Lights Before Christmas

[Columbia, SC] — Hoppy Hour at the Zoo has been rescheduled to Thursday, November 19 due to severe weather. The adults-only evening will now include a sneak peek of Lights Before Christmas which is set to kick off November 21.

New this Hoppy Hour, tickets will include one beverage. Timed reservations are required and must be made in advance online.

Don’t skip out! Sip, stroll, and social distance while soaking in the sights and sounds of Riverbanks after-hours. Guests also will experience a preview of the Zoo’s annual holiday lights spectacular. Merriment will come alive with the dazzling display of lights plus a 30-foot animated story tree echoing popular Christmas tunes.

Guests will have plenty of options for purchasing food and beverages throughout the Zoo. Frothy favorites, select wines, and mouth-watering menus will be available from a variety of locations including Base Camp Provisions, Cones, Kodiak Point, Tuskers, Watering Hole, and Wild Burger. Mobile beverage stations also will be located in Carousel and Palmetto Plazas.

Hoppy Hour will take place from 6:00pm – 9:00pm on Thursday, November 19. Timed reservations are available at 6:00pm, 6:30pm, 7:00pm, and 7:30pm. Tickets are $12 for Riverbanks members and $15 for the general public. Proceeds support the Zoo’s critical role in animal and plant care and wildlife conservation.

Event parking and park entry will be available on the Zoo side only at 500 Wildlife Parkway in Columbia.
