Zoo Hosts First Farm to Fork Dinner on Thursday, August 31

[Columbia, SC] — Riverbanks Zoo and Garden invites guests to partake in an all-new culinary experience when the Zoo hosts its first Farm to Fork dinner on Thursday, August 31 at 6:00pm.

Guests will enjoy al fresco, family-style dining amid Riverbanks’ lush Ndoki Forest habitat with views of African elephants and western lowland gorillas. The farm-fresh feast will showcase a delectable blend of gourmet, organic cuisine prepared with locally grown ingredients and vegetables straight from Riverbanks’ own vegetable garden. Handcrafted specialty cocktails, premium wine and local beer selections will complement the featured fare. Click here to view a menu.

The evening will conclude with an opportunity for guests to speak with a Riverbanks’ expert about the animals that inhabit the Zoo’s Ndoki Forest landscape and their wild counterparts that traverse the vast terrain of Central Africa.

Farm to Fork at Riverbanks will take place from 6:00pm – 9:00pm. Admission is $80 for Zoo members and $100 for the general public. Tickets are limited and should be purchased in advance online at www.riverbanks.org.

All proceeds benefit ongoing wildlife conservation and education efforts at Riverbanks and beyond.
