We want your children to grow up WILD with Riverbanks. Family Programs are special opportunities for families to learn more about the world of Riverbanks. Age-specific programs are offered to all groups from the very young to adults!
Family Fun Events
A variety of family activities at Riverbanks Zoo and Garden. The topics and activities vary, but each program is sure to delight and entertain while fostering a love of nature.
Valentine’s for Nature

Show your love to nature by creating some edible valentines for our backyard animal friends.
St Patrick’s Day

Our St. Patrick’s Day celebration will be filled with activities that explore rainbows and shamrocks. Of course, festivities wouldn’t be complete without leprechaun bowling!
Celebrate the Earth

- Saturday, April 17 @ 10:30–11:30am
In honor of Earth Day, we will celebrate Earth through fun games and crafts that show us all the gifts we get from our planet.

Varies by event. Note: If you are not a Riverbanks member, a general admission ticket will also be required.

Classes take place in the Waterfall Junction Learning Center at Riverbanks Botanical Garden.
Family on Safari
Looking for a fun and exciting adventure for the whole family ages 5 and up? Join other families to get wild at Riverbanks while enjoying hands-on activities, scavenger hunts, a pizza dinner and more! All programs include a continental breakfast and admission to Riverbanks Zoo and Garden the following day!

$60 per person (members); $65 per person (non-members).
- Note :
Children may not be left unattended. Individuals must be accompanied by an adult. A minimum of 25 individual registered participants is required to conduct all Family on Safari programs as scheduled.
