EARLY CLOSING ANNOUNCEMENT:

Riverbanks Zoo and Garden will close at 4pm on Friday, September 26 in preparation for Riverbanks ZOOfari. The park will resume normal operating hours on Saturday, September 27.

Check out the incredible world beneath our feet as we peek into ant tunnels and see how they live. We will learn about their complicated houses, what makes them insects, and cool facts about these tiny creatures while we make crafts and read stories.
Cost: $6 for one child (with one adult) per class. Plus admission for general public.

Friday, September 26

African fare meets southern flair at Riverbanks ZOOfari! The Zoo’s premier fundraiser, brought to you by Land Rover Columbia and hosted by Riverbanks Society, invites guests to take a sunset safari through the Zoo while sampling a variety of African-inspired cuisine seasoned with a taste of the South. Creative concoctions will complement the featured fare. A live and silent auction also will take place. Proceeds support ongoing conservation and education efforts at Riverbanks.
Cost: $50 Riverbanks members / $60 general public. $70 day of event.

Saturday, September 27

Hypertufa troughs are made from a lightweight, porous material that provides great drainage for plants like herbs, succulents and more. Participants will make their own planters and see a variety of ways to plant and use them in the garden.
Cost: $20 per person per class.

Pony Classes: Pony Pals
@ 11:00am (ages 2–5)
Meet our Shetland ponies up close and personal! Sure to be an unforgettable experience for young pony lovers. Parent participation is required.
Cost: $10 per parent-child pair (plus admission for general public.)
