@ 10:00–10:45am (ages 2–5)
During spring weekends, Riverbanks guests may experience heavier than normal traffic and longer wait times. Zoo parking may reach capacity between 11:00am and 2:00pm. Please plan to arrive early or after 2:00pm to help ensure a quality visit.
Come and BeZooJeweled! This “girls only” program in recognition of Endangered Species Day is back by popular demand! This will be a fun-filled evening of jewelry making, animal encounters, conservation education and activities that will earn credits towards your badge requirements and journeys. As we travel through the layers of a tropical rainforest, we will introduce you to its hidden jewels, the bling of the jungle and the animals who reign here! You will meet a few of our animal ambassadors, learn about what you can do to help endangered animals, save their habitats and, of course, create an entire collection of your very own eco-friendly handmade jewelry. The night will conclude with a beaded or bejeweled-themed SWAPs meet*.
*Please plan to participate and bring a beaded or bejeweled-themed S.W.A.P.s to exchange with your fellow Girl Scouts! **Children may not be left unattended. Individual Scouts must be accompanied by an adult; troops should have at least one adult per 10 scouts in attendance. A minimum of 20 registered participants is required to conduct program as scheduled.
