Wednesday, April 29

Pony Classes: Pony Pals
@ 10:45am (ages 2–5)
Children have a chance to learn all about the ponies at the Zoo through this fun, classroom-based class. Participants will get to explore stations, crafts, and even get to feed ponies a treat at the end of the program.
Cost: $10 per parent-child pair (plus admission for general public.)

Thursday, April 30

Backyard Buds: Mother’s Day Craft
@ 10:00–10:45am (ages 2–5)
Children can come and make a unique gift that any special person will treasure! All materials and wrapping will be provided.
Cost: $6 for one child (with one adult) per class. Plus admission for general public.

Saturday, May 2

Pony Classes: Ponies 101
@ 9:00am (ages 6–11)
Children will experience what it takes to get Riverbanks’ ponies ready for a day of riding. Learn how to measure, groom and tack the Zoo’s gentle ponies during this fun-filled class. Then, to make sure the ponies are ready for the day, participants will get to go for a pony ride around the trail!
Cost: $18 per parent-child pair (plus admission for general public.)

Bring your own container (18” to 24” in diameter), and we will help you fill it with great, tropical-looking plants for the summer. You will learn great design tips for great-looking containers all year long as you make a container your neighbors will envy. To help in the care for your new container, please choose sun or shade when you register.
Cost: $40 per person per class.

Monday, May 4

Homeschool Monday: Chain Reaction
@ 10:00am (ages 5–13)
All living things need energy to live and grow. Where does the energy come from? Follow the food chain to find out! See how important each and every animal is to its ecosystem as we uncover the complexities of the food web. Find out why in the natural world it’s eat or be eaten!
Cost: $5 per participant. Plus admission for general public.
