Birthday Party Ideas
| Elephant Stomp, Flamingo Fiesta, Monkey Masquerade, Croc-Tale Party – Whatever you want to call it, Riverbanks Zoo and Garden is the place to have fun. While Riverbanks does not offer formal birthday party packages for children, we have a bunch of ideas that can help make your child’s special day at the Zoo extraordinary! |
Invite 15 or more paying guests to join you at the Zoo and you may be eligible for discount admission tickets, as long as you pre-register as a group at least two weeks in advance. |
Snap a guest-of-honor and group photo in front of one of the Zoo’s animal sculptures. |
Map out your guests’ visit in advance to ensure they see one or more of our free daily demonstrations: 11:00am or 3:00pm penguin feeding, 11:30am gorilla presentation, 12:30pm diving demonstration and 1:30pm Amazing Animals Show! |
Plan a scavenger hunt – create your own or use ours. Download* the Garden Scavenger Hunt for your visit! (*requires Adobe Reader) |
Encourage your guests to “explore more” of the Zoo with our new unlimited rides and attractions wristbands ($20 per person ages 3 and up), allowing them to enjoy unlimited carousel rides, train rides, pony rides, giraffe feeding, lorikeet feeding, 3D Adventure shows and rock wall climbing all day long! Wristbands are available for purchase at the front gate or in the 3D Adventure Theater. |
Schedule an Adventure Tour and get an inside look at some out-of-sight places! Most tours take place on Saturdays and include take-home items and a coupon for a free refreshment (available the day of the tour). Recommended for kids ages 8 and up; children younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult. |
Enjoy pizza and ice cream in the Zoo or plan an outside picnic with presents. Grab a pizza at Ndoki Pizza (outdoor seating is available on first-come, first-served basis) and then enjoy ice cream in the Boomerang Shoppe [price considerations: approximately $18 per whole pizza or $3.50 per pizza slice and up to $4.50 per ice cream cone]. OR There is a public picnic area adjacent to the main Zoo entrance where groups can gather for picnics and presents. |
Prefer to rent a private room? The smallest meeting space available is 3,000 square feet (capacity 100) and rents for $500 a day. |
Planning for a flock of 25 to 50 night owls? Explore the Zoo at night with an evening Night Howl or make it a sleepover with an Overnight at the Zoo! |
