Zip Over for Boo at the Zoo Beginning October 21

[Columbia, SC] — Treat your family to 10 wild nights of Halloween fun with the return of Boo at the Zoo at Riverbanks Zoo and Garden on Friday, October 21.

The spooktacular event — brought to you by McDonald’s — offers guests safe, affordable, family-friendly fun. Trick-or-treat throughout the Zoo, frolic in Frankenstein’s Foam Zone, navigate through a Spooky Maze, enjoy Halloween hocus pocus with Ray’s Moonlight Magic and rock the night away at Mummy’s Eeky Freaky Dance Party.

For an additional charge, guests also are invited to roast marshmallows, take a spin on the Haunted Carousel or hop aboard the Spooky Spots and Stripes Railroad.

Boo at the Zoo will take place — rain or shine — October 21-30 from 6:00pm–9:00pm. Tickets are limited and should be purchased in advance. Advance admission is $9 for Zoo members and $11 for the general public. Children under 2 will be admitted free. Should tickets remain on any night of the event, those will be sold for $13 at the gate.

Trick-or-treating is reserved for kids 12 and under; children are encouraged to bring their own reusable bags or containers. Costumes also are encouraged. Adults may wear costumes, but will not be admitted with masks that cover the face. Parking for the event is available on the Zoo side only.

The start of Boo at the Zoo also means the return of Moonlight Zipping at Riverbanks. Nighttime river zips will be offered on Fridays and Saturdays only through March 11, 2017. The cost is $65 for the general public and $50 for Zoo members. Reservations are required.
