Orchids on the Riverbanks Set to Blossom Valentine’s Weekend

Annual Festival to Take Place February 12-14 at Riverbanks Botanical Garden
[Columbia, SC] — Enjoy the spectacular sights and sweet scents of Orchids on the Riverbanks during the weekend-long festival set to begin on Friday, February 12.
Riverbanks has once again partnered with the South Carolina Orchid Society and Ikebana International Chapter 182 for the annual show that will feature hundreds of varieties of orchids from around the world as well as a number of Japanese-style flower arrangements.
Gorgeous displays will be showcased in the Magnolia Room of the Botanical Garden’s Visitor’s Center. Guests also will have an opportunity to seek expert orchid-growing tips and take advantage of complimentary programs on planting and flower arranging. In addition, orchid vendors from across the Carolinas will have a diverse assortment of plants available for purchase.
Festival hours are Friday, February 12 from 1pm to 5pm and Saturday and Sunday, February 13–14, from 9am to 5pm. Admission to Orchids on the Riverbanks is free with paid general admission to the Zoo and Garden.
