Riverbanks Zoo and Garden Welcomes New Director of Human Resources

Jeff Crisp Brings More than 15 Years of Leadership Experience to the Zoo
[Columbia, SC] — Riverbanks Zoo and Garden is pleased to announce Jeff Crisp as its new director of human resources. Crisp joined the Riverbanks family in September of 2013.
Crisp, an accomplished human resources professional, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Riverbanks. He has worked in leadership capacities within the field for more than 15 years and most recently served as human resources director for The Loxcreen Company in Columbia. While at Loxcreen, Crisp guided the advancement of recruitment and selection programs, corporate safety, employee wellness programs and training for manufacturing and sales in six states.
"I believe my experience in the private sector will benefit Riverbanks’ growth, especially from a people and training perspective,” said Jeff Crisp, director of human resources at Riverbanks Zoo and Garden. "I am thrilled about this new opportunity and eager to help enhance and expand this very special place.”
Crisp’s past experience also includes manager-level positions at Belk Stores in North and South Carolinaas well as Ralcorp Holdings, a large manufacturer of various food products.
Crisp earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management from the University of South Carolina. He also obtained his PHR (Professional Human Resources) certification in 2001, which confirms an individual’s mastery of the technical and operational aspects of human resources practices and U.S.laws and regulations.
