[Columbia, SC] — Uncork a vintage favorite as Riverbanks toasts the 10th anniversary of Wine Tasting at Riverbanks Botanical Garden on Friday, April 19.
Tickets are now on sale for the spring fundraiser hosted by Riverbanks Society. From 7:00pm-9:30pm, guests will enjoy a palate-pleasing bouquet of more than 100 varieties of wine ranging from floral and fruity to dry and nutty. Riverbanks will also once again offer an assortment of select brews for sampling.
In addition to sniffing, swirling and sipping, guests can snack on an array of appetizers prepared by some of Columbia’s finest restaurants and caterers: Hudson’s Classic Catering, Liberty Tap Room and Grill, Miyo’s, Pearlz Oyster Bar, Riverbanks Catering, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, TakoSushi and Taziki’s Mediterranean Café.
The Jamie Beresford Band will complement the evening with live jazz; guests will also have an opportunity to bid on one-of-a-kind silent auction items; plus wine experts and vintners will be on hand to gab about grapes, winemaking, wine/food pairings and much more.
A limited number of tickets will be sold. Advance admission prices are $40 for Zoo members and $50 for the general public. Any tickets remaining the day of the event will be $60. All proceeds benefit wildlife conservation and education efforts at Riverbanks. Tickets may be purchased online at www.riverbanks.org or at any ticket window.
