For Immediate Release: January 24, 2013
Riverbanks Offers Sweethearts an Animal of an Affair
[Columbia, SC] — Riverbanks Zoo and Garden invites couples to experience Love on the Wild Side, an adults-only dinner and guided walking tour, this Valentine’s Day.
New this year, couples can choose from two unforgettable evenings—Thursday, February 14 and Friday, February 15. Both nights will begin at 6:30pm in the Birdhouse at Riverbanks where participants will enjoy a signature cocktail while learning what makes animal hearts flutter and how animals mate and date. From there, guests will encounter various animals and enjoy fun, interactive activities during stops at Riverbanks Conservation Outpost and Aquarium-Reptile Complex.
To conclude each evening, guests will sit down to a 3-course dinner, with choice of entrée, specially created by Riverbanks’ executive chef. A cash bar also will be available.
Limited seating is available. Tickets are $100 per couple and should be purchased online no later than Friday, February 8. No one under 21 will be admitted.
Love on the Wild Side will take place rain or shine. Guests are encouraged to wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes.
