May Rocks at Riverbanks Botanical Garden

Music and Flowers After-Hours Roll Every Thursday Beginning May 3
[Columbia, SC] — Riverbanks Botanical Garden will be rockin’ with the return of Rhythm and Blooms music and art in the Garden series beginning Thursday, May 3. The evening will feature local country-rockers Whiskey Tango Revue and a Food Truck Rodeo rollin’ in with some fantastic fare.
Guests are invited to unwind with family and friends every Thursday in May from 6:00pm-9:00pm—while enjoying live music and soaking in the sights and scents of one of the nations most beautiful and inspiring public gardens.
"Rhythm and Blooms offers guests a relaxing atmosphere and a rare taste of the Botanical Garden at sunset when its sea of colors really seem to pop,” said Andy Cabe, botanical garden director at Riverbanks Zoo and Garden.
Musical entertainment includes:
- May 3: Whiskey Tango Revue
- May 10: Liquid Blue (World’s Most Traveled Band)
*Special extended hours until 10pm. Concert begins at 8pm.
- May 17: Devils in Disguise
- May 24: Bobby Houck of the Blue Dogs
- May 31: John Wesley Satterfield
Alfresco Mobilista and Pawley’s Mobile Eats will be among the food options on May 3 offering everything from mouth-watering burgers and sandwiches to specialty tacos, burritos and much more! A cash bar also will be available for purchase.
In addition, a number of Columbia-area vendors will be on-site every Thursday with a variety of products to browse or buy—including jewelry, art and homemade crafts.
Tickets are $5 for Riverbanks members and $7 for the general public on all nights excluding May 10 when admission will be $8 for members and $10 for the general public. For more information, visit www.riverbanks.org.
