Summer Zoo Camp: Now Double the Fun!
For Immediate Release: March 5, 2012
Plus, Enroll Early and Enjoy Two Wild Weeks for Less
Parents can choose from ten one-week sessions, June 4 – August 10, for Zoo Campers ages 3 to 12, and this year’s summer camp will include two different topics for each age group. Plus, parents who enroll their kids before March 15 will receive a 25% discount off registration. Additional discounts also apply the week of July 4th.
Sprout Camp (ages 3 to 4 with an adult) is perfect for the budding naturalist as little sprouts discover the joys of gardening through hands-on activities and up-close encounters with flowers, bugs, and more. KinderCamp (ages 4 to 5) will have kids learning about the importance of fur, feather, shells and scales and making dino-mite discoveries. Zooper Heros (ages 6 to 7) will explore the great web of life and discover the importance of fight or flight. Riverbanks Rangers (ages 8 to 9) might catch island fever or soar to great heights through animal aviation. Z.S.I Investigators (ages 10 to 12) will have an opportunity to get gross with animal yuckology and learn about the importance of beastly bling.
Summer Zoo Camp runs from 9:00am-3:00pm each day with drop off starting at 8:30am. Standard registration fees are as follows: Sprout Camp – $84 Riverbanks members, $114 general public; KinderCamp – $120 Riverbanks members, $190 general public; Wild Weeks – $185 Riverbanks members, $255 general public. An extended stay and play option is available for an additional $75, allowing campers ages 6 to 12 to arrive at the Zoo as early as 7:45am and stay as late as 5:00pm. A morning-only extended stay option also is available for $25 for campers ages 4 to 12.
In addition, a few slots also remain for Spring Break Camp, April 3 – April 5 and April 10 – April 12, where campers ages 5 to 9 will explore the rebellious side of the wild kingdom. Registration is $120 for Riverbanks members and $150 for non-members.
Note: The early enrollment discount does not apply to Sprout Camp or Spring Break Camp. Parents can register their kids for both spring and summer camps at www.riverbanks.org.
