Day Camps

Riverbanks' Spring Break Camp, known as "ZOOm! Into Spring," and Winter Break Camp, simply called "WinterCamp," are offered to children ages 5-10 and pack hands-on activities, animal encounters, behind-the-scenes tours, games, and arts and crafts into three fun-filled days. The Summer Camp Programs (Sprout Camp, KinderCamp, Wild Weeks and Adventure Camp) serve 3-15 year olds.

WINTER BREAK CAMP 2009: ANIMAL HARDWARE Shake Off the Winter Blues at Riverbanks Zoo December 21 - 23 @ 9:00am-3:00pm Tortoises don’t use shovels and elephants don’t need hoses. Join us as we explore the wonders of how animals’ feet, noses, ears, eyes or tails saves them a trip to the hardware store. Winter Break Camp includes daily animal encounters, behind-the-scenes tours, arts and crafts, games and more! Ages: 5–10. Dates: Monday, December 21 – Wednesday, December 23. Time: 9:00am–3:00pm. Drop Off: 8:45am–9:00am (Entrance Gate). Pick Up: 3:00pm–3:15pm (Entrance Gate). Cost: $110 members, $140 general public. Extended Stay & Play: 3:00pm–5:00pm, $50 per camper. *There is no early drop off option, and children must be picked up by 5:15pm. Daily Pack List: Lunch, snack and filled water bottle. *Lunches must be non-microwavable and non-refrigerated. ENROLL TODAY FOR WINTER BREAK CAMP 2009! Other Important Information … T-Shirts: Each child will receive one complimentary T-shirt the first day of camp. We ask that campers wear their T-shirts each day to camp. Additional T-shirts can be purchased online or on Monday from the staff for $15. Sign In/Sign Out: Parents or guardians must sign in/out when students are dropped off and picked up (absolutely no exceptions). Students will NOT be released to anyone other than adults authorized to pick up on the consent form. Photo ID is required to pick up. Cancellations: Cancellations must be submitted in writing no later than Monday, December 7, 2009, to receive a refund minus a $30 processing fee. No refunds will be made for cancellations after December 7, 2009. Late Pick Up Fee: There will be a late pick up charge of $10 for every five minutes you are late picking up your child after 3:15 pm (or 5:15pm for those registered for extended stay and play).
